<< Looking up to you
Not very often those around us realize how much of what they do inspire us to be a better person. Why would they? They haven’t done anything special, or so they think.
The people in my life, too many to count, have always given me strength to move on. I don’t think I have had the chance to tell how much I look up to:
That one person who always showers me with love and gifts. I don’t really think I say it enough and if she gets the chance to hear it, I probably don’t say it high enough.
Even rarer it’s for me to express my deep affection to those that grew up with me, that support my every move and sing my every victory even in the distance (no matter how little it may be). For their patience and dedication helps me get up everyday.
There’s also that one friend studying real hard on the heels of (now) raising a family. That despite seeing things a bit different always knows when to show up. He keeps showing me that sometimes all we have to do is ask, and the door will always open.
Then there’s the people that give us the responsibility of becoming an example. They show that the warmth of a family is always nearby, even when they fight you over the coach.
So many are the people I look up to that I might never get the chance to tell and thank. Never get the chance for them to really see how much I value and appreciate every little thing that you do for me.
That’s why I’m making this one entry. Let this piece of paper be just a small sample of the big debt that I owe and a strong reminder that I’m always looking up to you and making the effort to deserve having every single one of you in my life.
